Job Description Summary
We have a new role for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong interest in medical devices for the RF Coils Team in Aurora, home of the design and manufacture of the AIR™Coils (https://www.gehealthcare.com/products/magnetic-resonance-imaging/air-technology-coils). This role will provide support to delivering mechanical solutions to our MR products and interact with cross-functional teams to make the world best MRI Coils.

Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
Develop design evolution across multi-generation product releases
Leveraging technical depth to work on business initiatives aimed at innovation and quality excellence
Leading the subsystems technical teams through the entire design cycle including requirements generation, design and implementation, verification & validation as the key technical mentor.
Required Qualifications
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience
Familiarity with mechanical deraign software like Creo, Soldiworks or Ansys.
Desired Characteristics
Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bio-Medical Engineering.
Knowledge of Medical Imaging, Medical Device industry, Imaging or MRI Coils.
Demonstrated expertise in specified area of interest with the ability to develop engineering specifications for major sub-systems/sub-assemblies, written reports on technologies, and other product design recommendations
Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire new product development cycle
In-depth working knowledge of patient/customer product-related clinical applications scientific/engineering methods/theory with an affinity for technology and clinical solutions
Experience with Creo , Solidworks and Ansys design software.
