REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Any combination equivalent to: a High School diploma, supplemental college business courses and three (3) years of progressive experience in clerical, financial, and secretarial capacities. Additional higher education may substitute for some experience.
Knowledge of:
- School site office practices, procedures routines, including filing systems, registration, compilation and security of student data, and other forms of student support.
- Computer based software programs that support this level of work.
- Problem-solving processes.
- Sufficient math skills to perform basic financial and statistical record keeping.
- Sufficient knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence.
- Sufficient human relations skill to work productively and cooperatively with diverse groups within and outside the District, and exercise patience when dealing with internal and external customers, and convey technical concepts to a diverse population of students and parents.

- Sit for extended periods of time, to utilize microcomputers and peripheral equipment, accomplish other desktop work, and to move to various locations.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Principal, coordinate work activities for the main office and perform responsible and complex administrative support and clerical duties for a Principal of an Elementary school; Assist the Principal by performing routine administrative tasks and coordinating the workflow and clerical support activities of the school office; organize, prioritize and oversee work to optimize available staffing and timelines while applying knowledge of office work and information flow, attendance, registration, records, and budget. Provide administrative support to teachers with special assignments such as but not limited to athletics, counseling, or student activities.
