About the Opportunity
The Clinton Foundation seeks a motivated, well-organized individual with exceptional attention to detail to join the Speechwriting & Correspondence Department. This person is responsible for supporting and assisting the Director/Deputy Director of Speechwriting & Correspondence by processing incoming and outgoing mail, drafting form letters and other junior-level written assignments, coordinating mass mailings including military retirement letters, conducting supplemental research, and other duties as assigned.
??The Clinton Foundation Marketing and Communications team is responsible for developing external communications, campaigns, and creative content in service of advancing the work of the Clinton Foundation and understanding of President Clinton’s lifetime of public service. This team of communicators is comprised of writers, marketers, producers, media specialists, content and digital strategists, metrics and data analysts, and creative professionals.??
This position is based in New York City, and our ideal start date is July 2024.
Core Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including drafting summary memos for principals
- Draft correspondence including birthday notes, donor thank-you notes, and other letters
- Coordinate mass mailings
- Assist with other department assignments through supplemental research, writing, and editing
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3 years of professional writing experience, ideally in a nonprofit or government setting preferred
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Able to produce error-free copy under tight deadlines and adhere to company-specific style guides
- Superior attention to detail
- Outstanding command of American English spelling, grammar, and syntax
- Excellent judgment, and high levels of discretion and common sense
- Familiarity with Intranet Quorum is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $56 - 61K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This role is eligible for overtime pay. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.
