The Senior Accountant, Capital Engineering is responsible for the accounting related to all Capital Spend (company-wide CIP projects), Fixed Asset additions/retirements and recording monthly depreciation of Fixed Assets in service. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for Administration of the Concur Expense System.
You will have an opportunity to:
Track the compilation of Capital Engineering Project Costs and manage the Request For Investment (RFI) Process from initial request through project completion (Approvals, Project Costs, Project Close-Out, etc.). Set up & maintain Internal Order tracking in SAP for active projects
Partner with the Capital Engineering Team for Capital Engineering project proposal forecasting, preparation, review and coordination under Company operational and accounting policies. Work with Engineering Team for Quarterly Project Status meetings. Assist Engineering Team with Supplemental RFI’s as necessary
Use Fixed Asset Software (Sage & SAP) for all Fixed Asset transactions and tracking – Fixed Asset Capitalization once projects are completed, Fixed Asset Disposals/Retirements and monthly/annual Book and Tax Depreciation activity. Ensure all Fixed Asset Software transactions booked to General Ledger
Complete month-end close responsibilities including, but not limited to, general ledger postings, account reconciliations and investigation / resolution of reconciling items and OneStream Roll forward schedules
Support audit requests timely (internal and external audit)
Manage Concur Expense Administration including management of new and existing employees, cost centers and general ledger accounts related to direct employee reimbursements and Company Credit Cards. Assist with Concur user support issues as needed
Reconcile monthly credit card activity for Corporate T&E and PCard’s in accordance with month-end deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree in business, accounting or finance
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting
Prior experience with Fixed Asset Accounting, general ledger postings, account reconciliations, Concur Expense System
ERP Systems, Microsoft Office Skills
Experience in a global manufacturing company is preferred
SAP and Concur experience is preferred
