The Senior Software Development Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects using agile methodologies for our client at the Department of State. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services. Your role will involve facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting continuous improvement within the teams.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Develop project scopes, objectives, and plans, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Manage the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based applications using a variety of technologies, such as C#, .NET Unified Framework, and SQL Server
Collaborate with team members from all parts of the development lifecycle, from development to operations to cybersecurity, solving technical challenges, and providing guidance and mentorship
Use Agile metrics to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
Work in a collaborative Agile team environment acting as Scrum Master for multiple scrum teams and providing oversight for a Kanban team
Maintain sprint and project backlogs
Conduct daily scrum
Conduct User Acceptance Testing meetings with product owners
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly project status
Recommend prioritization of work to our government customer
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
BS Computer Science (or related field) and 7 years of current applicable experience managing software development lifecycles
Experience with Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Test Driven Development and Section 508 compliance
Proven oral and written communications skills, capable of effectively
Directing and/or supporting developers, testers, and DBAs
Communicating with Government customers
Facilitating and running meetings
Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., SCRUM)
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Scrum certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe; within 6 months of start date)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
PMP
Experience working within the Department of State
Experience with low/no code solutions
Experience managing Power Platform development projects in a DoD environment
