Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Human Resources team as a Human Resources Assistant. The HR Assistant is the first point of contact when entering the HR suite. This is a temporary position supporting the HR team during an FMLA leave of absence with an estimated duration of seven months. The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with various tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and supporting employee relations initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database, including personal information, employment history, and benefits enrollment.
Conduct new hire orientation for hourly employees and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately.
Process paperwork related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in employment status.
Assist recruiter with employee and temp hire dates and notify supervisors.
Process new hire and replacement badges.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
Prepare reports and documents for HR management as needed.
Support employee relations initiatives by assisting with employee events, recognition programs, and disciplinary procedures.
Scans and files documents and maintains employee files.
Submit orders for office supplies and
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by HR management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus.
At least 1 year of proven experience in a Human Resources administrative role
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $27.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
