Position Summary
The Manager, Operations Data Analysis reports to the Senior Manager, Operations Strategy and is responsible for JetBlue’s operations data curation, performance analysis, and business intelligence to deliver credible insight about the reliability of our operation. A key role of the team is to support a balance of operability and profitability in the development of JetBlue’s flight schedule and operational resources. The Manager is the primary point of contact for leaders across frontline teams with respect to on-time performance data.
The Manager oversees corporate data, operations analysis, and dashboard development in support of corporate initiatives and operations leadership decision-making. Essential Responsibilities
Conduct strategic as well as operational reliability impact analysis in support of corporate initiatives
Investigates and determines root causes of operational events and failures
Deploy monitoring tools and ensure accountable stakeholders have clear visibility into trends and anomalies
Produce operations briefings for frontline leadership on a weekly or ad-hoc basis
Support various functional departments with requested data and analysis for decision making
Develop and automate reports in replacement of manual process
Collaborate with IT on cloud data warehouse development
Review and assess regulatory data/reporting policy creation and revisions
Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Transportation Planning or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with the combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
Five (5) years of operations planning, data analysis, predictive modeling and/or decision support experience
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
Advanced level SQL language, script writing, and knowledge of database management best practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Mut be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Five (5) years of data analysis or decision support experience in aviation or aerospace industries
Three (3) years’ experience in supervisory or managerial capacity
Advanced degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineer or other quantitative discipline
Proficiency in Python, R or similar high-level programming language
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire)
Thorough understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to scheduled domestic and international air carrier operations

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
