Temp to Hire Shift:
Monday- Friday 3pm-11:30pm Pay: $19/hr
Purpose of Position: As a Lab Technician, your role is pivotal in ensuring the excellence of our products within a dynamic team environment in our Union facility. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining the superior standards of our resin and catalyst foundry products through meticulous lab testing of incoming materials and finished goods.
Key Accountabilities:
Collaborate closely with the shift supervisor and Union Operators to fulfill production requirements by conducting quality testing and offering essential support.
Prioritize the analysis of production samples for incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring seamless workflow.
Execute comprehensive testing of incoming raw materials and finished products utilizing wet chemistry techniques including Viscosity, Refractive Index, Auto-titration, Gas Chromatography, Boiling Point, and more.
Perform rigorous testing on finished products for sand chemistry, encompassing Strength of Materials Testing, Tensile Strength, and Compressibility, adhering strictly to prescribed procedures.
Provide meticulous analysis of test results to approve materials, contributing to the maintenance of our high-quality standards.
Engage in various laboratory support activities tailored to specific testing programs, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Prepare detailed Certificates of Analysis to accompany our products, reflecting their quality and compliance.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and supplies, guaranteeing accurate and reliable results.
Draft non-conforming material incident reports with precision and thoroughness, facilitating swift resolution of any issues.
Adhere strictly to standard laboratory methods, practices, procedures, policies, and regulations governing laboratory materials and equipment.
Undertake any other duties as assigned, demonstrating versatility and adaptability to meet evolving organizational needs.
Key Dimensions:
Integral support for manufacturing operations, contributing significantly to product excellence.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience, Know-How, Skills, Personality:
Proven experience in a laboratory environment, showcasing your proficiency and adaptability.
Familiarity with SAP is advantageous, although not mandatory.
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
Strong team player, capable of collaborating effectively within a diverse team environment.
Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment, maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.
Skilled in data management, ensuring the integrity and reliability of test results.
Ability to discern material differences with keen observational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, facilitating efficient documentation and communication.
