WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Tasks listed below are not an exhaustive list of all the tasks that may be required for this position.
Assist construction management team in all aspects of construction process.
Perform regular inspections of job stie, to ensure project grounds are maintained in a clean, safe condition. Take steps necessary to ensure clean and safe working areas, including but not limited to, sweeping job site, debris removal and other cleaning/maintenance activities.
Ensure all external fixtures are clean and in working order.
Assist in moving appliances, heat pumps, planters, garbage cans and supplies as needed.
Report any safety issues to Assistant Superintendent and/or Superintendent.
Visually inspect sprinkler heads and report any damage to Assistant Superintendent.
Lock/unlock common areas as directed.
Working with superintendents, prepare punch lists for distribution to subcontractors; complete punch list items as needed and directed.
Assist with maintenance of project records as directed.
Coordinate with Assistant Superintendent to maintain inventory of supplies required to perform job.
Coordinate with Assistant Superintendents and Superintendents for walk throughs and inpsections.
Assist with supervision of subcontractors as directed.
Any other tasks assigned or directed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Prior onsite construction experience in the multifamily industry
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
Ability to work collaboratively, including ability to take and deliver instructions and follow directions from supervisors.
Ability to have flexibility with working schedule based on business and deadline needs.
Ability to work a schedule during normal work hours and that may be other than Monday-Friday, 8-5. Work in excess of 40 hours per week is likely.
Consistent, regular and in-person attendance during regular working hours at the workplace is required.
