The Opportunity:
The Digital Forensic Analyst (DFA) is responsible for working cross-functionally to support the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC). You’ll conduct research that focuses on rapidly emerging cyber threats, and the methods and processes employed by adversaries employment of cyber warfare techniques, as well as offensive capabilities. You’ll work in tandem with the CSOC team and resolve highly complex malware and intrusion issues using computer host analysis, forensics, and reverse engineering. You’ll discover, analyze, diagnose, and report malware events, files, and network intrusion and vulnerability issues. You’ll recommend countermeasures to malware and other malicious type code and applications that exploit customer communication systems.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, network protocols, and malware analysis in support of incident response
Experience with SANS Institute Toolkit (SIFT) or FTK and product expertise
Experience working with the SOC
Experience with Encase
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or Information Security
Nice If You Have:
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to document and present solutions to leadership
Master's degree a plus
GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), Encase, SANS Institute Forensic Toolkit (SIFT), or FTK Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
