Legal Specialist
This position provides legal administrative support for multiple attorneys within the Office of the General Counsel. Position requires high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and muti-tasking abilities. This includes carrying out vital administrative tasks for the department within your specialized area supporting in house counsel.
Position will be responsible for entering and maintaining legal files and organizing documents in a centralized system, reviewing files for accuracy, following court rules, codes, and deadlines, and responding to inquiries within your specialized unit.
Demonstrates professionalism, technical skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized, efficient manner. Ensuring that files are properly handled, tracked, and responded to in a timely manner while staying up to date on current processes and procedures. Assist with providing coverage where needed.
This role also requires extensive coordination and communication with business units, internal departmental staff, and attorneys to provided quality legal support team members where applicable.

Manage attorney electronic and hard files, open new physical files as requested, create and save new case files in our internal systems.
Make necessary corrections, update information, and respond to inquiries.
Facilitate ordering of supplies for attorneys.
Facilitate and process travel and expense reimbursements.
Open necessary service request or facilities requests for assigned attorneys.
Log attorney assignments, cases and update all tracking logs.
Mailings including FedEx and First-Class Mail.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate required. Post-secondary business program preferred.
Minimum of three to five years related legal secretarial and/or legal experience required.
Minimum typing speed of 35 - 60 corrected words per minute preferred.
Excellent oral and written verbal communication skills.
Experience using accepted legal support and office organization practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Advanced ability to compose, prepare, proofread, and type correspondence required.
Moderate general knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
Strong behavior competencies related to results orientation, customer service, continuous improvement, teamwork and collaboration, and value of diversity highly desirable.
Notary Public or willingness to become a Notary Public desirable.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$27.48 - $36.64
