Summary:
Provides support to clinical staff supervising the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation patients and participants enrolled in Summa Health System’s Phase I through Phase III Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. The candidate understands the benefits of participating in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab program and offers support and encouragement to the patients to participate. Therefore the candidate is an advocate for both the patient and the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. The candidate is a team member communicating observations and concerns regarding the care of our patients to other clinicians and support staff to promote optimal care.
Formal Education Required: -Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. Candidate should have specific interest in the field of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
Experience & Training Required: -Internship or work experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. -BLS Certification is required and may be acquired through Summa Employee Development. -ACLS Certification is encouraged, but not required, and may be acquired through Summa Employee Development.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: -A strong interest in working directly with primarily elderly cardiac & pulmonary populations in an exercise setting. -Acts as an advocate for pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation patients and the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. Understands and promotes the benefits of exercise and lifestyle change for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients and encourages their attendance. -Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Level of Physical Demands: -Medium, Occasional (0-30% of day) 20-50 lbs: Ability to walk/stand/push/pull arm/leg controls of exercise equipment frequently throughout day. -Must be able to physically assist patients onto exercise equipment.
$22.99/hr - $34.49/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
