About The Role
The Director, Project Management Office (PMO) is a key internal advocate of our Shared Values of STEWARDSHIP and ELEVATE. Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer,the Director of the PMO is responsible for leading and overseeing the Business Analyst team and all strategic and key projects across the organization. This role is pivotal in integrating member experience enhancements at the early stages of project planning and ensuring the delivery of tangible value to both members and business lines.As a collaborative leader, the Director, Project Management Office will foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
This position is on-premise and based at our headquarters office in Ventura, CA, but does offer ability for a limited hybrid schedule. Managers at VCCU uphold our Shared Values and work onsite for the best benefit of our membership and community partners. You will manage and lead both on-premise and remote staff.
What You’ll Do
Lead the Business Analyst team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and member-centric innovation.
Develop and execute the strategy for the PMO, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all departments, collaborating to identify technology needs and implement solutions.
Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of all strategic and key projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Champion the integration of member experience considerations in the ideation phase of project development, prior to vendor selection and contract finalization.
Manage the project portfolio, ensuring efficient scheduling, prioritization, and adherence to the Agile Lean process, including the implementation of scrums and sprints.
Oversee the measurement and analysis of project outcomes to verify that business lines and members receive the projected benefits.
What We’re Seeking
2-3 years’ experience in project portfolio management. Proven experience leading large, complex projects.
2-3 years’ experience with change management, particularly in process improvements and adapting new technologies.
3 years of increasingly responsible supervisory/management experience required, preferably within a financial institution.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
