Division Overview:
The Housing Operations Division (HOD) manages 3,229 public and affordable housing units located at 68 sites, serving more than 6,500 residents. HOD generates and utilizes the resources of the LACDA to provide quality affordable housing and expand opportunities to improve the quality of life in housing developments through the involvement of employees, residents, and community partners. HOD also implements and administers various funds for the improvement and modernization of the public housing developments and utilizes various grants to provide needs-based services to public housing residents, including at-risk youth and their families.
Position Overview:The vacancy is located in Lancaster, California (North County). The Resident Manager is required to reside on-site and is responsible for managing subsidized housing developments that are owned and maintained by the LACDA. A Resident Manager performs tasks in support of the daily operations of each housing complex, including processing annual and interim certifications required for the public housing program, interacting with tenants, supporting staff and management, and attending resident meetings
Resident Managers generally work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are required to respond to after-hour emergencies, and/or work nights and weekends, as needed. Occasionally, Resident Manager's may be assigned to assist and work at other housing developments.

Salary CompensationSalary compensation is dependent on qualifications (experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities). Initial salary placement is generally made between the start and mid-point of the posted range. New hires are not eligible to start at the maximum of the posted range.
Conditions of EmploymentCandidates selected from the process will receive a conditional offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of satisfactory reference checks, a post-offer medical examination, and criminal background check. Background check information will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability for the position.
Candidates must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License, an acceptable driving record, and must comply with the LACDA's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy during employment.
Failure to meet these pre-employment requirements will be grounds for withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States will be required at the time of hire.
Employment with the LACDA is at-will and may be terminated at any time with or without cause.
