About the team
We're looking for a Head of Engineering for Banking Core Solutions to join our Banking Solutions Technology Leadership team.
The Core Banking business generates over $1B annual revenue through industry leading core banking platforms for Large financial institutions, regional and community banks, and includes flagship products such as IBS, Horizon, Systematics and Profile.
Our teams are globally distributed and based across the US and India.
We are passionate about our Engineering skills, with a focus on building to scale and building it right. As the leader of this team, you will be shaping the culture while developing and leading the organization with over $50M budget to deliver world class features for our business. As part of this role, you’ll help us shape the future of banking and how we build our new strategic assets to deliver highly resilient and feature rich global solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
- Senior level engagement with business and technology stakeholders to drive the right business outcomes
- Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of key initiatives
- Providing Software Engineering Leadership by being a role-model and coaching others
- Directing and guiding the team to build high quality software using modern techniques, standards, and practices
- Utilizing your experience in modern software development to influence teams and stakeholders
- Operating in a scaled agile framework to deliver effectively
- Managing and supporting highly available applications including performance, resilience, and monitoring
- Managing teams across geographies and time zones
- Optimizing delivery within defined budget and financials

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $197,700.00 - $332,140.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
