About the Role
Workday is looking for a finance professional to join the Marketing Finance (FP&A) team in a role focused on business partnering, financial performance monitoring and reporting. We're searching for an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with a strong desire to learn. This is an individual contributor role that reports to the Finance Manager.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a best-in-class SaaS firm's growing FP&A group, with plenty of exposure and the ability to meaningfully impact the business. This role will support the Marketing organization's Global Go-To-Market & Field team.
Responsibilities:
Budgeting and forecasting - Handle monthly/quarterly financial forecasting cycle in Workday’s Adaptive, ensuring accurate projections, reporting, analysis, and communication.
Business partnering - Build strong and positive relationships with marketing leaders from Workday's three regions: EMEA, APJ, and NA. Collaborate to project spend activities, lead departmental budgets, monitor and track performance against targets.
Business performance reporting - Prepare monthly/quarterly financial review presentations (including data collection, structuring, and analysis) and communicating financials to regional leadership teams.
Ad-hoc, financial, and operational analysis - Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify business risks and opportunities in three regions.
Business processes - Learn, devise & implement important metrics & reporting key metrics to highlight valuable insights across various geographies.
Understand Marketing Funnel Metrics: Learn about marketing funnel KPIs (MQL/S1/MQA, etc.), business processes, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Financial close - Prepare journal entries as needed for financial close activities (end-of-period accruals, reclass entries). Maintain compliance with all applicable accounting and financial rules.
About You
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics with 3+ years related FP&A / Operational / Strategic Finance experience.
Proficiency in analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel / Google Sheets), with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Exposure to accounting principles (revenue, cost of revenue, operating expense) and their application to periodic financial reporting, planning and forecasting.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Outstanding organizational, communication, and collaboration skills — nothing falls through the cracks, you over-communicate, and thrive working in a team.
Willingness and ability to adapt to rapid and organizational changes that accompany a fast-growing environment like Workday.
Self-starter and problem-solver, comfortable dealing with complexity, ambiguity, changes and tight deadlines.
Prior experience in finance, analysis, consulting, or related fields at a technology firm.
Experience with Workday, Tableau, and Adaptive a plus.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
