ABOUT THIS ROLE: Prince William County, a rapidly expanding community in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is seeking a Senior Business Services Administrator. This role involves challenging administrative tasks in the comprehensive coordination and management of the Office of Youth Services. The chosen candidate will work in tandem with the Office Director, maintaining the highest level of discretion and integrity, to ensure that all budgetary, financial, personnel, administrative tasks, and customer service functions are operating efficiently and in accordance with County policies. The chosen candidate will represent the Department in various Countywide teams and system enhancement projects. They will also be a part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the establishment of the Department’s strategic direction and promoting the philosophy of leadership at all levels. This position is directly accountable to the Office Director.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or G.E.D. and 8 years of related experience.
PREFERENCES: the successful candidate will have… The ideal candidate will have a history of progressively responsible administrative management experience that includes supervisory experience. This experience could be in generalized office management or more specialized (Budget, HR, Finance, etc).
Bachelor’s Degree in Public/Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
8 years of progressively responsible experience in an office management, budget, finance, and/or human resources position, 2 of which in a supervisory capacity with 2 or more full time direct reports
Experience with budget, internal controls and fiscal processes
Experience handling personnel and performance matters
Experience working in a fast-paced organization and the ability to handle multiple project simultaneous projects
Experience linking policy to implementation
Strong policy and analytical skills
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: 37.5 hours per week; occasional night meetings
