ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of assigned school office or program
Greet and direct visitors; respond to inquiries and provide a variety of routine information to staff, students, parents and the general public regarding school operations, activities, policies and procedures.
Answer telephone calls and direct to appropriate personnel; take and relay messages as appropriate.
Receive, sort and distribute mail and other communications.
Schedule and arrange appointments, conferences, meetings and maintain appointment calendar; requisition assemblies, travel, conferences, consultants and inservice training as assigned; assist instructors with a variety of activities, including arranging assemblies and class field trips as assigned.
Prepare and proofread a variety of written materials including reports, records, schedules, letters, memoranda, bulletins, programs, documents and statistical data; input and update data on a computer and generate lists and reports as required.
Assist with the inventory, ordering, receipt and distribution of office, classroom and school supplies, materials and equipment as directed.
Process work orders; monitor facilities requests and reservations.
Provide clerical assistance to school–site councils, leadership teams and other committees.
Provide a variety of clerical assistance related to student attendance and enrollment.
Input and generate attendance data and distribute attendance reports as required; reconcile and adjust attendance reports; submit reports to District office and appropriate personnel.
Perform technical attendance accounting duties to assure accurate accounting of student enrollment and attendance for monthly ADA reports.
Perform specialized accounting and financial record-keeping duties to assure sound fiscal management of student body funds.
Collect monies pertaining to student functions including club accounts, ASB funds, athletic events, student activities, shop, transportation and a variety of other fees; count and record monies into proper accounts; prepare bank deposits as required.
Maintain financial records for student body activities, clubs and the associated student body; maintain records of daily deposits, audits, purchase orders and others as assigned; prepare reports as required.
Assist in the health office as assigned; perform basic first aid and CPR; administer EpiPen, as necessary; prepare and maintain related records according to established guidelines and procedures.
Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer and related software, printer, telephone, facsimile machine, calculator, copier and other machines as required; perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.

Operation of standard office equipment including a computer and related software.

Basic math; basic bookkeeping and financial record-keeping terminology, methods and practices.
State Education Code and District rules, policies and procedures related to student attendance accounting and record keeping requirements
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Basic first aid and age appropriate CPR techniques and EpiPen administration.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Two years of increasingly responsible clerical experience including one year financial record-keeping experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
ENVIRONMENT: School office environment; subject to constant interruptions and considerable distraction and noise from office and school activities.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Hearing and speaking to exchange information, seeing to read documentation and records related to assigned duties, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer terminal and standard office equipment, sitting for extended periods of time.
