Job Description
Role Summary:
This is a dynamic and highly visible opportunity for a senior human resources leader to provide overall strategic human resources support to the NBCUniversal HR and Legal Functions, in addition to other Corporate Functions as assigned. The VP, Human Resources will partner closely with senior HR executives and other leaders across the company to offer guidance on matters such as organizational design, employee relations, compensation planning, succession planning, and staffing and development. This position is also responsible for developing and delivering exciting talent and internal mobility initiatives that ensure HR employees succeed at every stage of their professional development at NBCUniversal, and to create opportunities and experiences that enhance skills and growth of this employee population. This position reports into the Senior Vice President for Corporate Functions HR and leads a team of HR business partners.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with HR leaders to create and foster a community across the company-wide HR function; build strong relationships with HR executives, as well as other HR leaders and employees, developing an in-depth knowledge of the HR talent across the company, their unique skills, as well as function-wide trends and challenges.
Provide high-touch, proactive leadership to HR clients in the areas of employee relations, compensation, staffing, organization design, manager coaching, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of geographically dispersed human resources business partners.
Lead strategic initiatives and process improvements tailored to HR to address organizational effectiveness, retention, and development needs.
Act as an advocate for talent, develop, manage and promote internal mobility strategies. Own internal talent mobility across the company’s HR function, focusing on building a robust internal pipeline, identifying common development opportunities, and ensuring the selection and promotion of the best HR talent across the company.
Closely partner with the Corporate HR for HR team in the UK to share best practices, discuss talent mobility and expand training and development opportunities.
Provide executive coaching to HR leaders offering feedback and guidance on employee and organizational matters.
Work with HR leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive and motivating work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate.
Manage sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and in accordance with our respect in the workplace policy, upholding a core value of the Company to do the right thing and treat people the right way.
Partner with corporate leaders to participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned to represent an HR business partner perspective.
Collaborate closely with Corporate HR teams (i.e. HR Operations, Learning & Development, HR Connection, Compensation, and Legal) to execute on responsibilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
12+ years of professional HR experience, including prior experience in a leadership role

Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
Must be willing to travel for work related business as necessary
Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
Strong business acumen and business partnership: able to establish credibility and rapport with leaders and employees
Demonstrated facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills
Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies
Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results

Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and counsel both employees and management

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
