Position: Automation Technician
Type: Contract to Hire
Shift: Day Shift, 6 am – 2:30 pm (Monday through Friday)
Location: Newark, CA
Hourly Pay Range: $32 to $40/hour (Based on Experience)

Kelly Engineering is actively seeking a qualified Automation Technician to join our client, a leader in the medical device industry. In this job, you will be responsible for the buildup and integration of various mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic operated sub-assemblies onto automation equipment. This position includes troubleshooting and repair of these assemblies on equipment that has already been released to production.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble highly complex automation equipment using purchased and fabricated components, referencing assembly drawings, electrical & pneumatic schematics, and product BOMs.
  

• Collaborate with Engineering on redlining of BOMs, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  

• Fine align sensors, sub-assemblies, and precision machined components to tight specifications.
  

• Troubleshoot and repair assemblies on equipment already released to production.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  

• Minimum of 2 years of intermediate mechanical/electrical skills.
  

• Ability to redline and decipher mechanical/electrical engineering drawings, including intermediate use of CAD software, preferably SolidWorks/E-Drawing.

Bonus Skills:

• CAD Modeling experience, preferably using SolidWorks.
  

• Background in building to print (based on BOMs, schematics, and assembly drawings).
