Job Description:
Experienced Controller or Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of our financial management.
Must have a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as proven leadership skills.
Responsible for managing the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, and providing strategic guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process with the company ownership
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
Mentor and develop accounts payable, receivable and payroll staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is Required
Experience with Paychex or similar payroll software
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is Required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
