What Your Impact Will Be:
General Responsibilities:
- Provides daily operational support for assigned tasks and projects.
- Supports the organization and execution of in-person and virtual events including communicating with third party vendors and partners.
- Perform proactive AV technology reviews and preventative maintenance as required in events spaces, conference rooms, etc. to ensure accurate implementation and operational support.
- Maintain and handle hardware support for AV computer, peripherals, and presentation equipment while following established policies, procedures, and technology standards to ensure system availability and security.
- Manage inbound AV requests and monitor departments email inbox/request system throughout the day. Inform/consult with AV Supervisor on inquiries and requests as needed.
- Address and troubleshoot AV issues received via email or phone, as well as through monitoring tools, for videoconferencing endpoints, infrastructure, integrated AV systems, Office 365 and networks.
- Provides daily/weekly updates to AV Supervisor on status of events, meetings, and projects.
- Responsible for accurate tracking of all assets and inventory maintained by the Audio-Visual Support Team.
- Partner with various departments to support successful outcomes of all AV related activities.
- Performs troubleshooting of supported AV system components.
- Occasional travel, after hours, weekend support, and other related tasks as required.
???????Event/Production Support:
- Lead AV production teams for events and large meetings; set-up, show, and strike.
- Operates mixing boards, wireless microphones, video switchers, projection systems, lighting consoles, graphics stations, video conference systems.
- Provide system installation, operation, and maintenance support as needed for AV productions.
- Support live broadcast of event productions working with various AV crew, producers, graphics operators, and presenters.
- Conduct routine AV system inspections of control room systems and rental equipment to insure proper AV set-up, placement and ensure all equipment is in working order.
- Perform basic audio/video edits and encodes as needed and maintain audio/video archives, assuring accuracy and viability.
- May coordinate smaller event production needs independently as needed.
- Coordinate AV equipment repair as necessary and work with dealer, warranty, and service centers where applicable.
- Research AV solutions and stays up to speed on current and future AV engineering technology.
- Request, track, and manage AV rentals needed for projects.
Installation/Maintenance Support:
- Coordinates AV installations, including evaluating AV system design and make recommendations, procures needed equipment, and schedules installations.
- Install audio-visual, teleconferencing, video processors, control systems, low voltage, voice/data cabling, structured cabling, fiber optic, or related systems as needed.
- Utilize AV and electronic related installation tools. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construction equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, unistrut steel support, etc.
- Coordinate AV equipment repair as necessary and work with dealer, warranty, and service centers where applicable.
- Performs audio visual system deployments including hardware and software configuration.
- Create, modify, review, technical drawings and rack diagrams.
What We’re Looking For:

- College degree, preferably in AV/IT, Broadcast, or Telecommunication Technology or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at times while also working collaboratively on larger AV projects.
- Ability to function as crew lead and manage small teams for relevant projects.
- Able to think out of the box, stay calm, and provide immediate solutions in fast paced environments with executive leadership visibility.
- Ability to see the big picture while ensuring attention to details.
- Ability to work well under pressure and provide solutions to overcome technical challenges.
- Outstanding customer service skills including executive support.
- Experience addressing/troubleshooting Audio/Visual Conferencing systems; Logitech Rally, etc.
- Experience supporting webcasts and webinar utilizing supporting Zoom, Teams, and Blue Jeans
- Experience handling technology support related to multi provider Cloud architecture including Microsoft Office 365.
- Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to present technical ideas in professional and user-friendly language.
- Experience with HD streaming software and protocols (H.323, SIP, RTMP) a plus.
- Experience with CAD drawing software, Vectorworks, Simple Wires, etc. a plus.
- Able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects/equipment, such as computers and peripherals.
- Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time, climb ladders and scaffolding, lift 50 pounds, and occasionally work in high places & in small cramped places.
- Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities.
The base hourly rate for this position is between $28.90 and $36.10.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
