Position Summary
Working under the direction of Mary’s Center’s Senior Director of Development, this position plays a critical role on our Individual Giving team by managing our mid-level giving, workplace giving, employee giving, and sustainer giving programs. Responsibilities include implementing cultivation and stewardship strategies to engage existing, new, and prospective donors.
Reportability
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Individual Giving Program:
- Engage a portfolio of approximately 75 mid-level giving donors with the goal to retain these supporters and help promote them to major donors.
- Oversee the Sustainer Program including but not limited to stewarding and acknowledging monthly donors, developing strategies to grow the program, and ensuring the annual revenue target is met or exceeded.
- Oversee workplace giving campaign efforts, including United Way, Combined Federal Campaign, etc. Engage current workplace giving donors and participate in campaign events to promote Mary’s Center’s work.
- Implement campaigns to grow the MC Employee Giving Program and an employee giving enrollment period. Manage the promotion of the employee giving program to staff.
- Participate in regular Individual Giving team planning and strategy meetings.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the annual Giving Tuesday campaign.
- Solicit donations for the Spring Appeal and Year-End Fundraising campaigns.
- Develop strategies to grow our Latino Community giving initiatives.
Donor Relations and Stewardship:
- Regularly meet and connect with current and prospective donors.
- Schedule at least one monthly tour for current, new and prospective donors.
- Assist with the planning and execution of donor events like Virtual Town Halls and donor appreciation events.
Department Activities:
- Attend MC events and provide support as per assigned tasks.
- Work with Community Engagement Manager to engage corporate partners and ERG members in Mary’s Center’s work – both from a volunteer perspective and a new donor perspective.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities –
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience.
- At least two years of experience working in Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM required.
- Has proven success in developing strategies to engage and cultivate donors and prospects.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. Donor-centric approach to fundraising and proactive approach toward communication and problem-solving.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
- Highly motivated and energetic, ability to show initiative and work independently.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with donors and staff with responsive and timely communication.
- Ability to handle diverse, simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines, and attend to follow through.
Language Requirement – Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.
Work Environment – Mostly in a typical office and/or home office setting with a quiet to moderate noise level. Regularly required to sit. Opportunity to work hybrid schedule. Required to be onsite a minimum of two days each week.
