Position Overview
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding Autodesk’s facilities, personnel, and intellectual property worldwide. Working as part of the 24/7 GSOC team, this position operates as the first line of defense, serving as the central monitoring and response hub for all physical security systems and events across the enterprise.
This role involves continuously monitoring an integrated suite of physical security technologies such as access control systems, video surveillance, case management, and visitor management platforms. Analysts are responsible for identifying potential risks or threats by analyzing data from various internal sources, as well as external intelligence feeds and other relevant information.
During active security incidents, such as unauthorized entries, suspicious activities, safety situations, or emergencies, the GSOC Analyst is responsible for assessing the threat, initiating response protocols, and coordinating actions. This includes dispatching security officer responders, engaging with law enforcement and emergency services, and providing detailed situational updates to stakeholders. GSOC Analyst must maintain meticulous documentation of all incidents, capturing critical details in case management systems and conduct in-depth investigations of security breaches to compile comprehensive reports for key stakeholders.
This role will report to the GSOC Shift Manager, day shift. This role is onsite at One Market, San Francisco, CA.
Monitor and operate physical security technology systems including access control, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, and visitor management across the enterprise
Proactively monitor security data feeds, social media, news sources, and other information channels for threats or incidents that could impact the organization's global operations
Respond to and coordinate the response for physical security incidents such as unauthorized access, suspicious activity, safety situations, and emergencies
Dispatch security officers and liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as required
Previous experience working in a corporate global security operations center, security operations center, 911 dispatch, or related roles
Willingness to work 24/7 shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Well-versed in physical security competencies, such as access control, video management, dispatch, and emergency response protocols; providing initial incident triage
Strong technical competence of risk intelligence software Emergency notification signals experience
Be able to simultaneously use multiple systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and respond to rapidly changing situations
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross functional teams
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment, including weekends and holidays
Be able to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Strong “can do” attitude, focused on a “customer experience” mindset
Document all security incidents and maintain detailed logs in case management system
Provide guidance to facilities on physical security policies and procedures
Prepare reports and metrics on GSOC operations, significant incidents, and trends
Provide training to security staff on systems, processes, and incident response procedures
Conduct detailed data analysis and pattern recognition to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats
Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of physical security systems, recommending upgrades or replacements as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with EH&S, IT security, business continuity, and risk management teams on security strategies
Manage and track inventory of security equipment, coordinating maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle replacements
Promote security awareness, educating personnel on policies, protocols, and threat indicators
