The Opportunity:
As an integral member of this dynamic team, you will be:
Producing membrane proteins in insect and mammalian expression systems.
Performing biochemical/ biophysical assays as necessary to ensure protein activity/ folding.
Assisting in structure determination of multiprotein complexes by cryo-EM.
Supporting crystallization screening and optimize conditions of co-crystallization of protein-ligand complexes to produce high-quality crystals for X-ray diffraction.
Who You Are:
PhD in structural biology, biophysics, biochemistry or related discipline with 0-3 years in the following: Insect (Sf9, Tni) and mammalian (HEK293, CHO) cell culture. Production of baculoviruses/ bacmam viruses including viral titer determination. Membrane protein expression in insect and mammalian cells. Protein purification using Akta systems, affinity and size-exclusion chromatography.
Team Collaboration Skills: Ability to work in a diverse team setting.
Communication and Organization: Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, including keeping clear and consistent lab notes.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Berkley, California is $119,600-$222,200 Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
