decco Search has partnered with one of their favorite clients in hiring an HR Generalist. The role is day shift, Mon-Fri onsite.

Job Summary:The HR Generalist will play a key role in our HR department, supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Recruit local talent, set up and participate in interviews, and handle follow-up correspondence with candidates.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues.
- Assist in resolving employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist Associates with Human Resource-related requests and questions (e.g., Benefits, Forms).
- Performance Management:
- Support the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee performance improvement plans.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain Associate information in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, AOD).
- Assist with processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Manage employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment.
- Support health and safety initiatives and workplace wellness programs.
- Coordinate local company events and participate in local community outreach activities.
- Perform any other projects/tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field with a Human Resource concentration preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 5+ years of human resource experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle personal and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Knowledge of timekeeping systems preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
