The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our products provide a high level of quality that meets customer expectation. This position will be responsible for assessment, design, implementation, and execution of quality programs and processes that support the continuous improvement of the business and reduction of quality incidents and customer complaints. The candidate must be an effective leader who possesses a strong aptitude for data analysis and interpretation of information, technically minded, can work with little direction, and has a good understanding of quality systems and processes.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitors workflow.?
- Assist Management in assessing individual and team performance and development.?
- Develop team maturity: coach and counsel teams through accountability matrix, motivate team to achieve goals and ensure effective team communication.?
- Administrative: Prepare shift manning schedules to ensure proper coverage and production is achieved. Record attendance and document vacation and holiday taken. Ensure proper handling and entry of ADP timecards. Document absenteeism and communicate unfavorable trend to the supervisor. Advise management of employee issues that may require their immediate attention to Safety, Quality, Production and Personnel issues. ?
- May recommend disciplinary action outside of Accountability Matrix.?
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.?
Education:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree / Technical schooling is preferred.
Experience:
- 4+ years of progression in manufacturing leadership positions of growing responsibility, with a preference for experience in Packaging solutions.
- Solid ERP system knowledge is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of statistical fundamentals.
- Strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processes or technical background.
- Lean six sigma training a plus. Green or Black belt certification preferred.
- Past leadership experience a plus.
- Specialized quality training or quality certifications a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to groups of people at various levels.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
- Ability to multi-task several projects simultaneously.
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
