*This position runs through 11/15/24 and is a time-limited campaign management position.

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE: Salary for this position is $6,000 monthly, depending on experience. Sonoma CAN offers a generous benefits package available on the first day of the month after your date of hire that includes:
- Medical insurance through Kaiser or Sutter 80-95% paid by the employer for employee premiums plus 50% paid by the employer for dependent coverage
- Elective dental, vision insurance, FSA and Accident insurance.

- 3 weeks vacation (4 hours accrued per pay period) based on full time work, increases at 5 years of service

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Our Kids Our Future Campaign Manager is responsible for planning and implementing day to day activities for a winning campaign and providing direct support to the campaign consultants and campaign committee. Campaign Manager will work directly with the campaign committee and consultants to set and implement weekly/daily campaign priorities including fundraising, voter outreach and education, event planning and attendance, presentations to target groups, media appearances, yard sign distribution, etc. Campaign manager will be an enthusiastic supporter of Our Kids Our Future’s work on behalf of children and families in Sonoma County and will accurately represent Our Kids Our Future in public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement comprehensive campaign strategies, tactics and timelines.
- Monitor and adjust strategies in consultation with campaign consultants as needed to ensure campaign goals are met.
- Oversee day-to-day campaign operations
- Oversee campaign outreach efforts, including presenting to professional and community groups
- Supervise and organize voter contact, including phone banks, precinct walking, events, etc.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
- Coordinate coalition-building efforts with allied groups and organizations.
- Oversee events, house parties, meet and greets, etc.
- Assist with fundraising including call-time support
- Develop and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Represent the campaign in public forums, media interviews, and at community events.
- Manage distribution of campaign materials (signs, walk pieces, remits, etc.)
- Serve as a conduit for information to and from campaign consultants, executive committee, campaign committee and finance committee, with regular reports
- Assist with media relations when requested
- Supervise campaign scheduling
- Supervise voter database including inputting data, generating walk/phones lists, printing and mailing of letters, data input into database (if needed), etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of community organizing and/or campaign development
- Strong organization and teamwork skills that can be applied to a fast-paced campaign environment
- Previous experience as Campaign/Field Director or Volunteer Coordinator
- Familiarity with NGP VAN, or other campaign software
- Understanding of political fundraising
- Strong equity lens; demonstrated commitment to racial and gender equity
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and communities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience in project management and the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with campaign management software and voter databases.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform campaign strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and community members.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
IN ADDITION TO ABOVE:
- Valid California Driver's License and a properly insured vehicle for use on the job
- Prior to beginning work, must be able to pass a background check
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public relations, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in campaign management, nonprofit management, or a related field.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bilingual/Bicultural desired

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in an administrative office setting, home office setting, as well as outdoors, at events, and in homes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and sometimes noisy.
