Summary:
Designs, implements, coordinates, and evaluates educational programs which facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency attainment for Care Management Division employees based upon identified learning needs. Develops and acquires appropriate educational materials for identified staff and serves as a resource for those directly providing patient/family education. Helps ensure competency of Care Management Division staff to assure quality and effective patient care is delivered.
Formal Education Required: a. Master’s degree in nursing, Education, or related field OR b. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in Master’s Degree program. c. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio
Experience & Training Required: a. Five (5) years professional RN experience to include: i. One (1) year experience in education of adults in an acute care setting. ii. Three (3) years experience in Case/Care management, Utilization Management, or Managed Care.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a. Experience in use of computers in a healthcare setting b. Excellent verbal and written communication skills c. Ability to work collaboratively with intradisciplinary personnel, Medical Staff, and community representatives. d. Ability to use computer and audiovisual equipment. e. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
4. Level of Physical Demands: a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
$33.66/hr - $50.49/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
