The significance of the work:
Is providing front office support services (operational, administrative and technical assistance) to the DSCA Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, Deputy AD for Strategic Outreach, and the Strategic Outreach Directorate on the agency’s legislative priorities.
The Work Location: 100% in-office for a collaborative office culture in Arlington, VA.
What You’ll Do:
Provide program management and operational administrative duties related to the execution, coordination, and management of DoD activities.
What we are looking for:
Ideal candidates will possess experience supporting DoD and/or federal government staff at various levels, excellent analytical skills, and be able to multitask in a highly visible and high operational tempo organization with little supervision.
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
- Daily communication with flag officer-level DSCA personnel to coordinate activities.
- Submits component recommendations to appropriate functional managers regarding correspondence templates and reviews the component directives program to ensure it is up to date
- Continuously reviews, evaluates, and generates reports regarding component issues, status, and trends
- Seeks out opportunities and identifies ways to improve management and administrative processes to increase efficiency or effectiveness of the organization
- Safeguard classified material IAW DoD policies; monitors and complies with Records Management policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, foreign or international relations, national security studies, or a field directly related to the contract
- Two (2) years of recent experience supporting senior level DoD staff (flag officer- equivalent)
- MS Office Suite experience
Security Clearance Requirements:
- This position requires you to have an active Secret Clearance. A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.
Compensation:
The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration: contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of ODRG's total compensation package for employees. It is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee. The pay band for this position is $80-90k.
