We are seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time Therapist IV (Clinical Services Case Management Manager) position in the New Horizons School-Based and Clinic-Based Programs. This position will work out of the CS East Ferlazzo office.
This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments as funds permit. The first installment of $2,500 is payable upon the County’s first regular pay date following your position start and the final $2,500 installment will be payable on the pay date following the completion of probation.
About This Role: New Horizons School-Based (NH SB) and Clinic-Based (NH CB) Program offers a team environment. NH SB and NH CB Therapist IVs support their team by serving as mentors and trainers through supervision of clinical staff. In this role you will:
Provide oversight to school-based and clinic-based services for Medicaid funded and uninsured clients including competent and evidence-based therapeutic services, outreach, assessment, linkage to and coordination with other service providers, client advocacy, and aftercare treatment
Provide clinical and administrative supervision to 8 clinical therapists across both School-Based and Clinic-Based teams
Provide oversight and clinical and administrative supervision, including licensure supervision for LPC or LCSW
Mentor all staff to include staff seeking to become agency supervisors
Provide oversight to Medicaid and licensure requirements through chart reviews and billing approvals
Provide oversight of evidenced practices for services that targets youth with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders
Provide effective treatment to clients with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders that result in improved personal outcomes and stabilization of mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders
Conduct comprehensive assessments, including ASAM Criteria and DLA-20, including formulating diagnoses
Provide training and encouragement to staff to strengthen program offerings
Develop and implementing treatment plans to promote progress of client
Ensure program compliance with maintaining clinical documentation in Electronic Health Record according to agency, Medicaid, MCO and licensure policies and procedures
Provide crisis intervention services
Provide case consultation of crisis intervention services for supervisees or other Therapist II’s
Document of all services, contacts and attempted contact with client, their family and collaterals
Collaborate with other departments, professionals, and other stakeholders in the community (i.e., school staff, probation officers, psychiatrists, social workers, private providers, and residential treatment staff)
Complete clinical record-keeping, court reports and administrative functions
Maintain healthy boundaries with clients and their families
Implement program, systems, state and federal directives
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field
Candidate must possess an unrestricted LPC or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Virginia
5-6 years of experience providing services to children, adolescents and families with issues related to mental health, substance use and co-occurring in home and community-based settings
3-4 years of professional level supervisory experience
Preferences:
Experience providing oversight and direct clinical services to youth and families with complex mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders
Experience providing clinical and licensure supervision to therapists
Experience with and providing school-based and outpatient services
Experience providing crisis intervention and risk management
Experience with Medicaid-funded services for youth
Experience collaborating with other service providers
Experience receiving supervisory or management training to lead others
Bilingual and multilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a DMV record check
Must pass TB test

Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.
Work Schedule: This full-time position requires a 5-day work week that includes Tuesday and Thursday evenings until 8:00 p.m. and a beginning work time of 7:30 a.m. Starting Salary Range: $91,162.50-$121,836.00
