Job Functions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists and directs customers, pilots and the general public who use and/or visit the County airport
Refuels aircraft; tows aircraft; directs pilots where to park
Completes tickets; processes credit card sales and collects money for sales and fees
Maintains fuel inventory; notifies supervisor when fuel purchase is needed
Performs a variety of general maintenance and ground keeping duties such as mowing grass, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpets, picking up debris, plowing snow, etc.
Provides help to the Airport Director and Operations Manager on any tasks needed to ensure Airport Operations are safe for anyone flying into Culpeper

Qualifications
Education and Experience: Education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma. Some experience fueling aircraft and/or working as a cashier is preferred.
Special Qualifications: Must possess satisfactory results of a criminal history background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to operate office equipment such as cash register, Unicom, etc.
Ability to operate various maintenance equipment such as hand and power tools, etc.
Ability to operate, drive and control fuel trucks, cleaning equipment, and vehicles used to tow aircraft
Ability to follow safety standards set in accordance with all applicable laws and policies
Mathematical ability
Ability to read & write English
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to provide the highest level of customer service

PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as Physical demanding work. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires constant lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, swatting, climbing, etc. Requires the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, odors, colors, visual perception, and depths.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Essential functions are regularly performed indoors. Some tasks may risk exposure to machinery, weather extremes, dust, fumes, dirt, and vibrations.
