We are looking for a SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER, COMMERCIAL to join our talented team in our rapidly growing company. This established role is responsible for the ongoing success of Diamond W’s commercial portfolio, which consists of sheet vinyl, carpet tile, LVT, rubber, underlayment, surface preparation, and more.
The Senior Product Manager’s objectives are to protect and grow market share, manage the existing portfolio, and identify new products and segments for growth. S/he will also be responsible for providing well-researched analysis of external factors (markets, competition, industry trends) and internal factors (internal capabilities, product line performance, etc.) as an input for strategic decision making. This position will be based in our newly renovated City of Industry, CA office, and will report to the Director of Product Management & Marketing, working closely with our VP of Commercial Sales.
Responsibilities
Determining and monitoring pricing by utilizing market data, costs, and anticipated volume, using our internal ERP system
Owning the in-stock program, monitoring inventory for aging and profitability
Forecasting category sales and buying recommendations, based on history, market conditions and supply chain lead times
Driving the strategy and implementation of marketing efforts for the commercial unit
Partnering successfully with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service teams
Defining the product strategy and roadmap by analyzing the market, customer requirements, and competitor benchmarks
Driving new product introductions and updates working with multiple vendors and manufacturers, from ideation to post-launch
Occasional travel required for trade shows and vendor meetings
Experience & Education Desired
Bachelor’s Degree in business management, business analytics, business administration, marketing, or related field
8+ years of relevant B2B experience in product management in flooring or a building materials distributor
Demonstrated success defining, launching, and monitoring product sales performance through a strategic process
This is an 8 to 5, five days a week on premises office based role
