Job Summary
Fountain Valley School District is seeking one (1) dedicated part-time (50%) Middle School Music-Drama Teacher to support instruction for 6th-8th grade students (3 periods in total; site TBD).
Requirements / Qualifications
Combination of Single Subject Credential and/or Subject Matter Authorization in the following areas: Theater/Drama and Music. Additionally, applicants must have their English Learner Authorization.
Please note that a Single Subject Credential in English if first issued before January 1, 2022, is acceptable instead of a Theater/Drama credential/authorization.
A candidate may qualify for subject matter compliance if they have a Single Subject Credential in one (1) of the areas stated and a minimum of 12-semester units, or six upper division or graduate semester units, of acceptable coursework in the other area needed (for example, Single Subject Credential in Theater/Drama and coursework in Music). Candidates seeking to show subject matter compliance through coursework MUST provide clear, legible transcripts with their application showing acceptable coursework meeting the following parameters: completed with a grade of “C” or better (“credit”, “passing”, or “satisfactory” grades are acceptable), applicable toward a bachelor’s degree or a higher degree (elective or non-elective, non-remedial), taken at a regionally-accredited institution, granted regular quarter or semester hour credit, and from the subject department of the subject matter authorization being sought.
